SOUTHWEST AUSTIN AREA: Works under the general supervision of the Office Manager. Responsibilities include: customer service, providing information to the public in person, on the telephone, and in writing, clerical duties, preparation of reports, processing of correspondence. Works with computer applications, such as Windows. Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge of general office skills and basic math; Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; Ability to provide quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner; Ability to perform assigned duties without continual supervision and make sound independent decisions; Ability to use personal computers for word processing and spreadsheet software with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks and database management software a plus; Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Answers telephone, responds to requests, delivers messages, and runs errands. Compiles, copies, sorts, and files records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities. Completes and mails bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks. Orders materials, supplies, and services, and completes records and reports. Reviews files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests. Stuffs envelopes and addresses, stamps, sorts, and distributes mail, packages, and other materials. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
