Description M4 Engineering is a dynamic and rapidly growing high technology aerospace company located in Long Beach. We are currently seeking a highly organized experienced aerospace engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team performing aerospace engineering research and analysis for Department of Defense, NASA, and commercial clients. A senior engineer is needed to develop aerospace engineering processes and software tools for multidisciplinary analysis and optimization (MDAO). MDAO will be used to analyze aircraft and launch vehicle performance. This individual will act as a technical lead and systems engineer. This individual will be responsible for defining interfaces between disciplinary analyses, developing software to perform analyses spanning these interfaces, and conducting system level optimizations and trade studies. This individual will perform Verification and Validation (V&V;) to ensure that the resulting software accurately predicts the behavior of example applications. This position has excellent advancement potential. Requirements Required: Familiarity with aerospace disciplines such as aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, aeroheating, thermal, stability and control, etc. 5-10 years experience in developing aerospace engineering systems Leadership experience Excellent written and oral communication skills BS in engineering, Advanced engineering degree preferred US Citizen or permanent residents only Desired: Software development Optimization experience Systems Engineering Programming experience in FORTRAN, C/C++, perl, Python, and/or Matlab Local candidates Please no computer hardware engineers Please no IT system administrators
