TITLE: Controller
DEPARTMENT: Finance and Accounting
REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President, Finance
DIRECT REPORTS: Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Accounting Assistant(s)
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

Job Purpose: The Controller is responsible for delivering timely, quality financial reports; monthly closing; A/P, A/R and other key processes; leading budget process; supporting cross-functional projects and managing staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee all accounting activities, manage monthly closing process and oversee all accounting and financial reporting
*Identify and implement new procedures to streamline accounting processes and activities, including monthly close, revenue tracking, flight expense estimating, and accounts receivable and accounts payable
*Develop and implement all appropriate controls
*Develop budget and proactively manage and report on expense vs budget opportunities
*Develop and measure appropriate accounting and finance function metrics, identify and implement improvements in throughput and quality
*Represent finance and accounting in cross-functional teams and on specific projects, including supply chain strategy, gross margin improvement, operational/service execution, sales and marketing initiatives and others
*Develop comprehensive understanding of the overall business and provide insights into ways to improve profitability and productivity
*Manage, coach and develop staff members
*Manage relationship with outside auditors

Prior Experience:
*5-10 years of business experience with revenues in excess of $300 mil ideal
*Familiarity with accounting processes and procedures, including financial reporting
*Experience in implementing process change in finance/accounting organizations
*Experience with modeling and spreadsheets
*Demonstrated success in people management/leadership roles
*CPA required
