Corporate office in RTP. Monday - Friday 8-5 Business Causal --4 month assignment in a Call center which handlles calls for agricultural chemical manufacturer. Phone skills, database query skils are a must. Most calls relate to loyalty marketing programs. Prefer candidates with call center experience and educational background in a natural science field with the ability to discuss agricultural products
Position Purpose (Job Function):
A brief statement - one or two sentences - indicating the basic purpose of the position. Ideally, it should answer what, how, and why.
The primary purpose of this position is two fold: 1) Incumbent will provide product and program information to customers in reference to Bayer CropScience products. 2) Will assist with both outbound contact initiatives and project support to Sales and Marketing organizations.
Major Contributing Activities (Principal Activity/Objective):
Listing of major activities necessary to fulfill the position's basic purpose. There are normally six to eight key-end results areas for each position. These action statements should explain what is done and how it is accomplished.
1. Ensure a high level of external customer satisfaction by providing program and customer specfic information for Bayer CropScience customers. Take the necessary initiative and, if necessary, risk to insure that information requests are addressed accurately, timely, and where possible, generate new / additional business opportunities. Record all inbound contacts to a tracking database with accuracy to report information upward to Business Units.
2. Provide outbound contact service to customers through integrated marketing campaigns that help product positioning, determine quality of services, and ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
3. Provide assistance to project management in support of Marketing and Sales initiatives.

The Incumbent will focus on understanding BCS customer interactions, fulfill their need for program information and improve customer relationships and perception of BCS. They will also focus on product positioning and campaigns to improve brand awareness in the marketplace.

The incumbent is frequently involved in problem-solving decisions. Major problem areas include:
1. Database use and diagnosis of customer¡¦s sales data.
2. Sales and Marketing program fulfillment and product promotional campaigns. Incumbent will need to be well versed in all product marketing programs to be able to assist customers in understanding qualifications and fulfillment..
3. Correctly channeling customer questions to appropriate departments for requested information including emergency situations involving product spills, poisoning, missuse etc.
The focus of this position is customer satisfaction. The Incumbent will be interacting with retail and end-user customers primarily. A thorough understanding of BCS products and the Crop Protection Industry will enhance the value that we provide to our customers.
Capabilities (Know How):
The education, skills, experiences, and personal characteristics necessary for success in this assignment. In cases where years of experience are used for illustration, these should be considered as MINIMUM requirements.
This position requires a Baccalaureate degree. 0-3 years experience. Backgrounds with schooling or experience in agriculture are preferred. In addition:
„h Working knowledge of agricultural market distribution channels and business cycles.
„h General understanding of agricultural crop markets and product knowledge.
„h Self-motivated individual with proven experience of tactically implementing a prescribed organizational strategy.
„h Knowledge of key functional interfaces within Bayer CropScience to assure rapid fulfillment of customer needs.
„h Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively provide/present information to internal and external customers.
„h General computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Internet.
„h Understanding of marketing programs and program fulfillment.
„h Understanding of Bayer CropScience sales policies and procedures to provide accurate interpretation for internal and external customers.
