Growing global economic research and asset management firm is looking for a multi-purpose economist to produce macroeconomic research papers targeted at the institutional investment community. Candidate will also work on macro quant models, consulting projects and the analysis of economic variables.

Excellent quantitative, analytic, research and data gathering skills are a must. Candidate must have at least a Master’s degree in economics. Some Wall Street experience is helpful.

Ideal candidate must understand and sympathize with the supply-side, free-market economics of the Chicago and Austrian schools of economics. Candidate must understand the role of incentives in economics, and be creative, idea-oriented and work well in a team “think tank” atmosphere.

Candidate must have strong demonstrated verbal and written skills in English. Additionally, candidate must have strong understanding of macro data sets (Haver, Bloomberg, BLS). Understanding and competent use of EViews, MatLab or similar economic software packages is a plus.
