My girlfriend gave the idea of going as a washer and dryer for Halloween. I went with it and made the costumes on the fly. I started from scratch and it took about 10 hours to make both of them. I don't want to throw my hard work away so hopefully someone can use it. Here is a general description:
-Cardboard boxes that have holes for the head, arms and torso -Both measure about 2ft wide x 2ft long x 1.5 ft tall -Weigh about 2-3 pounds each -Doors with handles -Painted white with acrylic paint -Edges are taped so no sharp edges -Permanent marker details for cartoon-ish effect
We added clothes hanging out the doors and attached little samples of detergent, fabric softener sheets, and bleach pen for extra effect. I paid ~$25 for building materials.
