The primary purpose is to work with other facility engineers and managers to identify and close gaps between current and best practices for production of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate. This position will act as the “technical expert”. As such, this position will work to achieve improvements in quality and unit costs through process optimization. This individual will be responsible to identify and suggest action plans to improve process performance across all areas of operation.



This position may also provide project management to assist implementation of projects identified as mentioned above. While not directly responsible for supervision of employees, this individual must have good skills to work with people to achieve successful process improvement. This individual must also ensure that process knowledge is incorporated into process descriptions and the working knowledge of process operators.


Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years professional experience with a strong chemical and science background. Analytical and trouble shooting skills required. Pay range for this position is 60-70K on base (depending on years of relevant experience, education and background.


This position is an IMMEDIATE need – start date is ASAP. SOME travel required (approximately two trips per year for conferences).
